Barrel by Générale Ressorts
Générale Ressorts supplies assembled barrels to watchmaking manufacturers. The barrel is complete composed of the spring, the drum, the cover and the shaft. The company works in association with the other companies of the Acrotec Group to produce the complete barrel, in particular with KIF Parechoc, Décovi.
The fully mastered manufacturing process and the controls performed, enable the manufacturers to immediately assemble the barrel into the movement. Buying a barrel has never been so simple.
In addition to producing specific barrels for your individual requirements, Générale Ressorts also offers you generic barrels in order to replace the most frequently used barrels currently available on the market.
Mainspring manufacturing
The know-how and expertise of Générale Ressorts are concentrated on the mainspring, the core of our craftsmanship. Each stage of manufacturing is perfectly mastered thanks to the knowledge acquired since the birth of the company in 1857. Its skills have been reinforced by the latest advances in process optimisation, the materials used and the simulation of the springs.
The springs are manufactured from two main materials, Nivaflex and Bioflex, which have been patented for this application. The key characteristics are strictly controlled and the process has been adapted to guarantee perfect compliance to customer requirements. The packaging of the springs has also been adapted according to customer requirements, from the barrel assembly to the delivery in blister packs.

The know-how acquired by Générale Ressorts while manufacturing mainsprings, has allowed it to enlarge its vast range of products. The diversification of the range available has led to a successful collaboration with many industries; telecommunications, fibre optic fibre connectors, industrial equipment, automotive, medical and horology.

Générale Ressorts provides the raw materials for the Nivaflex springs in the shape of wire and strip.
