Générale Ressorts continues its commitment to more sustainable watchmaking by launching a major technical innovation: a complete lead-free barrel equipped with a Bioflex mainspring.

Designed to meet the growing demands of environmental standards, particularly the REACH regulation, this new barrel combines performance, reliability, and responsibility. It incorporates materials free of lead and beryllium, while maintaining a high level of technical requirements.
The Bioflex mainspring, developed without beryllium, offers superior mechanical properties: increased power reserve, improved rate stability, resistance to corrosion, and constant force delivery.
This development is the result of two years of work carried out in synergy with six companies of the Acrotec Group.
“This barrel is the result of two years of intensive development. It is a technical breakthrough, but also a strong signal towards more responsible watchmaking,” emphasizes Alberto Sicco, CEO of Générale Ressorts.
Already industrialized, this innovation is ready to be integrated into the movements of tomorrow, in line with the expectations of a watchmaking industry oriented towards the future.
